After a lengthy search for a sling for my home defense, pistol gripped 12ga, I've happened upon this sling which ended up replacing the 1pt sling that I had on it originally. That sling also had incorporated bungee attached, but tended to be somewhat uncomfortable due the weight of the shotgun, and quite obstructive when going "hands-free" or when transitioning to another firearm. It also allowed the weapon to bang around in close quarters, and drag on the floor when kneeling. Some may ask,"why have a sling on a gun primarily to be used indoors?" I'm using the Osprey sling in the 2pt configuration, as it keeps the muzzle end of the weapon off of the floor and not pointed at my feet when it is slung. It allows me to better aim(from the hip)and to support the weight of the gun with one hand if I needed a free hand to open doors or was possibly injured. I can also easily "flip" the gun to my rear if it were necessary for me to have both hands free, or when transitioning to my sidearm, thus quickly and effectively moving my primary weapon out of the way without having to drop it. There is also enough length adjustment to keep the weapon tight to the body, and with the bungee, still be able to aim if necessary. In my opinion, when the bungee is extended, it does help to manage recoil as well.
